Elizabeth Folsom Jenkins

Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Folsom Jenkins, 86, of 164 Ellerbe Rd. Rockingham died Friday, February 1, 2008 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Jenkins was born February 24, 1921 in Brooks County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Ben and Nell Folsom. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockingham, where in 1992 she was presented a plaque for 50 years of membership, and in 2001 she was presented with an Honorary Life Membership from the Presbyterian Women of the Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Damon W. Jenkins in 1995 and her brother Ben F. Folsom, Jr. in 1974. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham with the Rev. Dwight Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Woody and Carol Jenkins, Jerry and Vickie Jenkins, all of Shallotte, NC, daughter and son-in-law Jenny Sue and Billy Lear of Marion, SC, grandchildren, Brian and Cynthia Lear of Marion, SC, Greg and Tanya Jenkins of Willow Springs, NC, Sharon and Rand Thomas of Rockingham, Matt and Jessica Jenkins of Germany, Chuck and Charlotte Wright, Nicole and Stephen Long all of Shallotte, and 7 great grandchildren. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home on Ellerbe Rd. in Rockingham.
