Ronald "Ronnie" Franklin Spivey

Ronald Franklin “Ronnie” Spivey, 67, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, January, 2, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Ronnie was born July 26, 1945 in Richmond County, a son of the late Charles and Edna Norton Spivey. He had served his country in the US Army and was retired from LOF Glass. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Spivey. Surviving are his wife, Patricia K. Spivey of the home; children, David Spivey of Cary, Jennifer (Donovan) Leonard of Cary; step-children, Renee (Richard) O’Neal of Rockingham, Billy (Jennifer) Carraway of Rockingham; seven grandchildren; brothers, Andy (Willa) Spivey of Ellerbe, Marc Spivey of Ellerbe; sisters, Sandra (Donnie) Richardson of Ellerbe, Robin (Alton) Gentry of Laurinburg and aunts, Mary Helen Capps of Ellerbe and Margaret Mathis of Cheraw, Sc. A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev . Donnie Davis officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
