Craven Coleman Mr. William Craven Coleman 74, of Rockingham died Friday, February 8, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Coleman was born September 26, 1933 in Richmond County a son of the late Horace and Nora Goodwin Coleman. He served his county in the U. S. Army in the Military Police during the Korean War. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Burlington Industries in Cordova. He was preceded in death by a Son-In-Law Larry Ricks in January of 2004. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Coleman, Rev. Lester English and Rev. Trevor Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty Rasberry Coleman, and two daughters Susan Coleman Ricks of Rockingham and Dana Coleman Gibson and husband Roy L. of Ellerbe. His beloved Grandchildren, Jessica Coleman Gibson, Jarod Bret Ricks and Caleb Garrett Ricks. Two Brothers, Howard Coleman of Rockingham and Horace “Buddy” Coleman of Ramseur. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00-7:00pm at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home at 158 Westfield Drive Rockingham.
