Betty Ruth Davis

Ruth Davis Betty “Ruth” Poston Davis, 77, of 115 Gibson Dr. Rockingham died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born August 6, 1930, in Moore County a daughter of the late Raymond and Vallie Bullard Poston. She retired from JP Stevens and was a member of the Friends Club. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Northam Cemetery with the Rev Mitchell Roller officiating. Surviving Mrs. Davis are husband Alfred C. Davis, Jr. daughters Vicki Bianco of California, Susan McLaurin of Jacksonville, NC, and Kitti Braddock of Rockingham. A sister Ruby “Ann” Phifer of Wilmington, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Gibson Rd. Rockingham.
