Rachel Frye Bittle

Rachel Faye Frye Cox Bittle, 65, of Rockingham, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Bittle was born November 29, 1947 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Morris Watson and Rachel Inez Millikan Frye. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church and had been employed with Biscuitville, Winn Dixie and most recently Richmond County Schools in the cafeteria of Ashley Chapel School. Surviving are her husband, Paul J. Bittle of the home; sons, Ricky Cox, Wayne Cox, Larry Cox, Phillip Cox and Timmy Cox,all of Rockingham; daughter, Diane Cox Ingram of Rockingham; step son, Paul Alan Bittle of Rockingham; nineteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Frye of Supply, NC; and sister, Darlene F. Vansise of Fayetteville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellerbe. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home, 216 Cartledge Creek Rd., Rockingham.
