James Millard Short

James Millard “Jamie” Short, Jr., 46, of 110 E. Main St. Ellerbe died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at his home. Mr. Short was born February 22, 1962 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Rev. James M. and Mary Katherine Smith Short. He had previously been employed in retail sales. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Daniel officiating. Interment will be private. Surviving are his sister, Kay Hudson of Albemarle. The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Ellerbe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Emergency Fund, P.O. Box 340, Ellerbe, NC 28338.
