Agnes Moore Green

Agnes Moore Green, 88, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, March 04, 2013 at Rockingham Manor. Mrs. Green was born December 9, 1924 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Jasper C. and Ola Covington Green. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, member of the choir and WMU. She retired from the US Postal Service as Postmaster of the Norman Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Green. Surviving are son, Roger Green and wife Gay of Ellerbe; daughter, Darlene Price of Old Hickory, TN; sister Mary Lou; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at Concord United Methodist Church with Rev. Dena White officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
