Lloyd Thomas Simmons

Lloyd Thomas Simmons, 62, of 165 Center St. Cordova, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at his home. Mr. Simmons was born October 22, 1945 in Richmond County, a son of the late Hannie and Mary Moore Simmons. He was a graduate of Rockingham High School and had been employed as a flooring installer. His sons, Tommy and Christopher Simmons and a brother Franklin Simmons preceded him in death. Surviving are his sisters, Ann Hamilton of Oak Island, NC , Susan Oates of Grand Rivers, KY and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Donald Dawkins officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
