Bertha Parker

Miss Bertha McAuley Parker 84, of 121 Pine Lane Rockingham died Tuesday March 18,2008 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born November 6, 1923 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Richmond T. and Annie Yarbough Parker. She was a seamstress and loved sewing for anyone. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers J.M. Parker, R. T. Parker Jr. and Jeff Parker and sisters Daisy Parker, Lillian Parker, and Margaret Parker. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 at Northam Cemetery with Rev. Donald Daniel officiating. She is survived by several nieces and a nephew. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Carol Dye 119 Pine Lane Rockingham.
