Goldie Dobbins Draper

Goldie Arbutus Dobbins Draper, 83 of 103 Daniels Lane Rockingham went home to be with her Lord Tuesday April 9, 2013. She was born March 30, 1930 in Yadkinville, NC a daughter of the late Wiley C. Dobbins, Sr. and Nina D. Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Hunter Draper and her brother Wiley C. Dobbins, Jr., She was an elder in Cameronian Presbyterian Church for several years and was the owner of Convenience Mart in Rockingham from 1993 until her retirement in 2001. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Draper Glaze of Rockingham and , Florence Virginia Draper Lyon and husband David of Morganza, MD., a brother, Grady O. Dobbins and wife Bebe of Rockingham; her grandchildren Alaina Michelle Glaze, Robert Shane Glaze and wife Christen, David Allen Draper Lyon and wife Heather, Alton Emmitt Glaze III, her great grandchildren; Tristin Shea Rorie, Lizzy Rorie, Seth Tuttle, Brooklynn Leigh Glaze, Michael Emmitt Glaze, Hunter A. Lyon and Haley M. Lyon. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Sunday April 14, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenneth Lyerly. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8:00pm. Saturday at the funeral home. Those who desire may send memorials to the Susan G.
