Warren Ray Robbins, Jr.

Warren Ray Robbins, Jr., 58, of Rockingham, passed away, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Ray was born June 8, 1954 in Moore County, a son of Martha Ann McNair Robbins and the late Warren Ray Robbins. For over 40 years Ray served the Hoffman and Marston communities being a charter member of the Hoffman Rescue Squad and later serving as chief for many years of Hoffman Fire and Rescue. He was a member of Marston Baptist Church and had been employed as a maintenance mechanic for the NC Department of Corrections. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Nancy Sherrill Robbins; son Trey Robbins( Emily); daughter Sherri Robbins Boyle (Johnathan); grandchildren, Levi and Carson Boyle, Caroline Robbins; mother, Martha Ann Robbins; brother, Mike Robbins (April); sister Leanne Robbins Hilliard (Doug) and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Friday at Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. The family will see friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Marston Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
