Billy Ray Saunders

Billy Ray Saunders, 67, of Morven, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the VAMC in Salisbury. Billy Ray was born November 27, 1945 in Sanford, FL, a son o f the late William and Florence Richardson Saunders. He had served his country in the US Army. Surviving are his wife Kathy Hough Saunders of the home; son, Billy Ray Saunders, Jr. of Indiana; stepchildren, Cynthia Mabe Diggs of Morven, Tonya Mabe Martin of Chesterfield, SC, Johnny Ray Mabe of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Malorie Lynn Martin, Christopher Shane Mabe, Zachary Austin Mabe, Savanna Marie Diggs; and sisters, Betty Willett of Ashboro and Darius Ussery of Biscoe. Graveside service will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Norman Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
