Mary Rhyne Vuncannon

Mary Frances Rhyne Vuncannon, 85, of Ellerbe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Vuncannon was born September 4, 1927 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Charles Kelly and Ether Johnson Rhyne. She was a faithful Christian and served her Lord and Savior through First Baptist Church Ellerbe and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Vuncannon and brothers, James, Norman and Ramer Rhyne. Surviving are her sister, Annie McCaskill of Ellerbe; sister-in-law and friend, Reba Moser; numerous nieces and nephews; special caregivers and Spot, her cherished companion of 7 years. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Thursday at First Baptist Church, Ellerbe with Rev. Dr. Jim Brown and Rev. Don Rhyne officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 1:45 – 2:45 pm Thursday at the church and at other times at her home.
