Annette Garris Barbour

Annette Garris Barbour, 81 of Sandy Ridge Assisted Living Facility, Candor died Tuesday May 7, 2013 in First Health Moore Regional Hospital Pinehurst. Mrs. Barbour was born August 6, 1931 in Johnston County, NC a daughter of the late Ollie Benjamin and Carrie Lee Garris. She was a homemaker and a member of Norman Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Exum Barbour, her brothers Ollie Benjamin Garris, Jr, Billy Garris, Burt Garris and a sister Faye Jones. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm. Friday at Norman Baptist Church, Rev. Brian Clark will officiate. Burial will follow in Norman Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Tim Barbour and wife Sandra of Brooms Island, MD, David Barbour and wife Misty of Mt. Gilead, NC and a sister, Lacy Williams of Clayton, NC. Also surviving are six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
