Martha Millen Treadaway

Martha Millen Treadaway, 81, of Hamlet, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Treadaway was born February 22, 1932 in , a daughter of the late John J. and Minnie England Millen . She was a member of Cobb Memorial Baptist Church and had been employed in textiles. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Treadaway, 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Surviving are her sisters, Mary Cannon and Peggy Jo Cain (Robert); sons, Ricky Treadaway and Chuck Treadaway; and special nephews, Tommy Banks and Michael Banks. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Leviner officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the Cain home, 157 Chalk Rd. Rockingham.
