Alene Clark McQueen

Alene Clark McQueen, 82, formerly of Ellerbe, passed away, Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Richmond Pines Healthcare in Hamlet. Mrs. McQueen was born October 23, 1930 in Pulaski, VA, a daughter of the late Lloyd G. and Clydie Blansett Clark. She was a member of Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church and had been the Office Manager for the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Lexie McQueen, sons, Michael McQueen and Martin L. McQueen, Jr and a brother, Cyril Clark. Surviving are her grandchildren, Michael McQueen and wife April of Kernersville, Greyson McQueen of Ellerbe, Alana McQueen of Rockingham; brother Rudolph Clark of Harrogate, TN and sisters, Olivia Flower of Baltimore, MD and Astrid Davis of Hillsville, VA. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Ellerbe with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Springs Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
