Robert "Robby" Daniel Pankey

Robert Daniel “ Robby” Pankey, 25, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Robby was born November 22, 1987 in Richmond County, a son of the late Paul D. Pankey and Brenda Mauk Pankey Malzer. He had been employed in construction and as an auto mechanic. Surviving are his children, Isaac D. Sessoms, Nathaniel L. Mauk, Elijah J. Mauk and Alyiah M. Mauk, all of Rockingham; brothers, Paul D. Pankey, Jr. of Japan, Mathew J. Malzer of Rockingham; sisters, Elyse V. Malzer of Laurinburg, Christy Pankey of Rockingham; grandmother, Elsbeth Pankey of Rockingham and fiancé, Frances Sessoms of Rockingham. A service to celebrate Robby’s life will be held at 3 pm Saturday at New Life Church with Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the church and at other times at 206 Ellerbe Rd., Rockingham.
