Bobbie Martin Dawkins White

Bobbie Martin Dawkins White, 79, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at Richmond Pines Healthcare Center in Hamlet. Mrs. White was born January 8, 1934 in Union County, a daughter of the late Robert Reid and Lucy Beane Martin. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and the former co-owner of Richmond Farm Supply. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Dawkins and Gratten Lee (GL) White. Surviving are her sons, Mark Dawkins and John White, both of Rockingham; step children, Gratten White, Jr of Orlando, FL, Kevin White of Lake City, SC and Marlene Kemble of Rockingham; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild and her sister, Lucille Butler of Hamlet. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at Mark’s home, 105 Pinehaven Park, Rockingham.
