Waldo Emerson Love

Waldo Emerson Love, 82 of McNeil Road Rockingham, died Friday August 9, 2013 in Rockingham Manor. Waldo was born September 15, 1930 in Richmond County, NC a son of the late Waldo and Edna Stutts Love. He served in the US Air Force as a Pilot and obtained the rank of Major before his retirement. He was preceded in death by a son, Walt Love. He is survived by his wife, Jennipher Love of the home, daughters; Pamela Love of College Park, MD, Stephanie Love of Greenbelt, MD, Sharon Love of Frederick, MD and Barbie Hawkins and husband Roger of Surf City, NC. Also surviving is a sister, Mary L. Harris of Houston, TX and a grandchild Chance Hawkins of Surf City, NC. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00 am Monday August 12, 2013 at Eastside Cemetery. Rev Ernie Walters will officiate. Those who desire may send memorials to Roberdel Baptist Church 1123 Richmond Road, Rockingham, NC 28379. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm Sunday at Roberdel Baptist Church.
