Nellie Ruth Quick Pressley

Nellie Ruth Quick Pressley, 85, of Rockingham, passed away, Sunday, August 11, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. Pressley was born January 10, 1928 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James Edward and Viola Rainwater Quick. She was a longtime member of Midway Baptist Church and had retired from JP Stevens Co. She was preceded in death by her husband. Leo Pressley. Surviving are her children, Leo Pressley, Jr of Ridgeway, SC, Debbie Kay Smith of Albuquerque, NM, and Gary Pressley of Cleveland, TN; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a niece, Brenda Ayers and her best friend, Peggy Megs. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
