Gail McLeod Crouch

Norma Gail Crouch, 73, of Ellerbe passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 in UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Gail was born June 3, 1940 in Montgomery Co., a daughter of the late Gus and Marie Greene McLeod. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ellerbe and had been employed with Commonwealth Hosiery before her retirement. She is survived by her husband Darrell Crouch of Ellerbe; daughter, Mitzi C. McDonald and husband Dennis of Roxboro; grandsons, Andrew McDonald and wife, Libby of Roxboro, Peter McDonald and wife Tara of Columbus, Thomas McDonald of Roxboro; great-grandchildren, Cole and Micah McDonald; brother, Rayvon McLeod of Troy; Pauline M “Polly” Lyerly of Norman and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Davis, Rev. Dennis McDonald, Rev. Andrew McDonald, Rev. Peter McDonald and Rev. Thomas McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 1:30 – 2:45 pm Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
