Virginia Silvestri

Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Tilley Silvestri, 77, of 159 3rd St., Ellerbe died Friday, May 2, 2008 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born October 27, 1930 in Stokes County, a daughter of the late Pose L. and Anna Smith Tilley. Mrs. Silvestri was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, May 4th at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Bob Silvestri of Ellerbe; three sisters, Barbara Sears and Nora Lovin, both of Ellerbe, and Mary Dunn of Mount Gilead; a number of nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs, Coco and Dilly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Tilley, Frances Lovin, Ruby Staples, Gladys Woods, and Radar Blakeley. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at her sister’s home, 143 W. Page St., Ellerbe.
