Nancy McInnis Vandett

Nancy M. Vandett, 68 of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013. She was born to the late Carl F. and Lillian M. McInnis. Nancy was in the Honor Society and a member of Phi Kappa Pai and Phi Delta Kappa at Virginia Tech. She retired as President at Gateway Technical College and Vice President at Mid-South Community College. Nancy earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Doctorate of Education from Virginia Technical College. Nancy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by a son, Carl Jared Vandett; five grandchildren, Will Dearing, Regan, Jacob, Lillian, and Zoe Vandett; brother Bradley McInnis and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 18th, at 3pm at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ellerbe with Rev. Stan Layton officiating. Interment will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. Family will meet and greet friends on Wednesday from 1:00 -3:00 pm. at the funeral home.
