Mary Eliza Grice Buck

Mary Eliza Grice Buck, 87, a resident of Hamlet House, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2013 at Rockingham Manor. Mrs. Buck was born July 21, 1926 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Zach and Lucy Williams Grice. She had attended Southside Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker. While a resident of Hamlet House, she enjoyed the day trips, playing bingo and especially enjoyed the church services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Buck in 1997. Surviving are her children, Richard Buck (Lou) of Cordova, Thomas Buck ( Mavis) of Bennettsville, Dean Buck (Lillie) of Rockingham, and Sara Allen ( Glenn) of Rockingham; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, William Grice of Carrboro and sister Sarah Morrow of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at Southside Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Jacobs and Rev. Bob Gibbs officiating. Entombment will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Allen home, 144 Lake Point Dr., Rockingham,
