Dora Mae Shoe

Mrs. Dora Mae McCarthy Shoe, 88 of Shannon Drive, Rockingham died Tuesday May 13, 2008 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Shoe was born October 21, 1919 in Australia a daughter of the late James and Annie Palmer McCarthy. She was a housewife and was preceded in death by her husband Horace Shoe and son Garry Lucas. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Joey Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. She is survived by her children Lee Shoe and wife Mary Ellen of Dunkirk Md., Vicki Hill and husband Don of Pine Bluff, Dean Shoe of Rockingham, Jeannie Robson and husband Dean of Pinehurst, Tommy Shoe and wife Sue of Wilmington. Her beloved Grandchildren Wendy Massagee, Jeff Johnson, Leigh Nichols, Jimmy Johnson, Kim Shoe, Anna Virtue, Angela Peek, Amy Shoe, Corey Shoe, and Aubrey Tyson, and 19 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham.
