Elizabeth Biby Puckett

Elizabeth Virginia Biby Puckett, 88, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Puckett was born January 14, 1925 in Stokes County, NC, a daughter of the late Jasper and Tina Lawson Biby. She was a member of Saron Baptist Church, a homemaker and a farmers wife. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Puckett and a son, John D. Puckett, Jr. Surviving are her children, Carl Puckett (Sharon) of Ellerbe, Michael Puckett (Hilda) of Ellerbe , Gary Puckett (Linda) of Rocky Mount, Peggy Nichols of Ellerbe, Shelby Barber (Wayne) of Carthage, Donna Kelly (Carter) of Ellerbe; 15 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Friday at Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. William S. Kearse, Jr. officiating. The family will see friends following the service and at other times at the home.
