Walter Richard Nance, Sr.

Walter Richard “Dickey” Nance, Sr. 64, passed away Friday September 27, 2013 at Moore Regional Hospital . Dickey was born February 7, 1949 in Moore County, a son of Annabel Sugg Wagoner and the late Bernard C. Nance, he spent his entire life in the farming industry in the Ellerbe area. He was preceded in death by his brother Bubba Nance Surviving are his daughters Kim Parsons and husband Kevin of Ellerbe and Lisa Nance also of Ellerbe, a son Ricky Nance and wife Melinda of West End, a granddaughter Marissa Nance of West End and a brother Johnny Nance of Ellerbe. A service to celebrate the life of Dickey Nance will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe officiated by Rev. Ricky Jacobs. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00-3:00pm at Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home 2319 Main Street Ellerbe.
