William Brooks Allred

Mr. William Brooks Allred, 79, of 3411 Hwy 220 N, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. Mr. Brooks was born January 22, 1929 in Richmond County, a son of the late Ira and Myrtle Burns Allred. He worked at Richmond Yarns in the card room and was an avid fox hunter. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Ellerbe Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Hawks officiating. He is survived by sons Danny Allred and Gary Allred of Ellerbe, daughters Judy Glover of Jackson Springs, Jan Pressley of Rockingham, sister Georgie Carrol of Rockingham, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren The family will receive friends from 1:15- 1:45 PM Sunday at Carter Funeral Home of Ellerbe.
