Louise Morgan Covington

Katherine Louise Morgan Covington, 93, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Richmond Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet. Mrs. Covington was born April 21, 1920 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Fred and Mallie Spence Morgan. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had been employed with Singer Sewing Machines and J.C. Penny Company. Her husband James E. Covington preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Barbara Homesley (Harold) of Saint Simon Island, GA, Michael Covington (Sharon) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Tracy Hamilton (Tim), Michael Covington, Jr., Kelli Osborne (Lowell), Cheston Covington; great grandchildren, Lucas and Lauren Hamilton, Dillon and Megan Covington, Dustin and Tianna Osborne; and sisters, Betty Sue Lattimer of Richmond, VA and Kay Moss of Rockingham. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Friday in Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Blackwell officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the Covington Home, 121 Willow Road, Rockingham.
