Jack Belton

Mr. Walter Jack Belton, 79, of 319 Lawson Lane, Rockingham died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at his home. He was born May 29, 1929 in Patrick County, VA, a son of the late Walter and Molly Rakes Belton. Mr. Belton was retired from Hooker Furniture Co. in Martinsville, VA. He, also, served in the U. S. Army. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, June 6th at Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Vivian Foley Belton of the home; a daughter, Linda Young and husband David of Rockingham; and two grandsons, Donavan Young and wife Alanna of Rockingham and Christopher Young and wife Laura of Hope Mills; four great-grandchildren, Lydia, Julianna, Piper and Steven Jackson Young; four sisters, Lorene Hazelwood and Evelyn Hazelwood, both of Stuart, VA, Patricia Tolson and husband Bruce of Roanoke, VA, and Mary Jane Harris of Spencer, VA.
