Ernest Tinsmal Brown

Ernest Tinsmal Brown, 83 of 151 Sandhill Road Rockingham died Thursday June 5, 2008 at VA Medical Center in Fayetteville NC. Mr. Brown was born January 17, 1925 in Richmond County to the late Newton and Ida Robinson Brown. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was self employed in the vending and amusement machine industries. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Brigman Brown of the home, three sons Gary Brown of Raleigh, Ernest Brown Jr. and Vincent Brown both of Rockingham, four daughters Kay Brown Barrington, Carolyn Brown Lowery both of Rockingham Vanessa Edelen of Kentucky, and Deanna Brown of Conway S.C., one brother John Earl Brown of Shelby N.C., and one sister Doris Turner of Lincolnton N.C., fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
