Harold Shepherd

Mr. Harold Lloyd Shepherd, 69, of 510 S. Caroline St., Apt C-17, Rockingham died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Carolinas Hospital in Florence, SC. He was born August 9, 1938 in Rowan County, a son of the late Lummie Loyd and Muriel Adine Newman Shepherd. Mr. Shepherd was a member of Crossroads Ministries in Hamlet and was retired from the construction business. He attended Waxahachie Assembly of God Bible College. Mr. Shepherd, also. served in the U. S. Navy. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Shepherd will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, June 14th at Crossroads Ministries in Hamlet with Rev. Thad Pearson officiating. Surviving are his wife, Martha Henson Shepherd of the home; children, Harold Kenneth Shepherd, Amy Cheesman, Patricia Hatcher, Marcus West, Brenda Ladner, and Marie Lavance; sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; and two brothers, James Shepherd and Burtus Shepherd. A sister, Shirley Webb, preceded Mr. Shepherd in death. The family will be receiving friends at the home, 510 Caroline Street, Apt. C-17, Rockingham.
