Odelle Godfrey Culler

Mrs. Odelle Purnette Godfrey Culler, 95, of 114 9th Ave. Aleo, Rockingham, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Palmer Hinson. Mrs. Culler was born January 30, 1913, in Richmond County a daughter of the late Hugh and Maie Bennett Godfrey. She was a housewife and a member of Trinity Congregational Hollness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Monk” Culler in 1969 and a son Lee Phillip Culler. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ellerbe with the Rev Joe Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Culler are sons Tom Culler of Henderson, NC, Ed Culler of Rockingham, daughter Betty Lynn of Leland, NC, sisters Margaret Shepard of Norman and Estelle Wright of Ellerbe, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
