Sarah Dell McAuley

Sarah Dell McAuley, 63, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, January 01, 2014 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Dell was born May 30, 1950 in Moore County, a daughter of the late Leroy and Edith Shaw McAuley. She was a member of Rourk Presbyterian Church and had attended McLaurin Vocational Center in Hamlet for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Cecil McAuley and Alton McAuley. Surviving are her sister, Brenda Mitchell (Bill) of Rockingham; sister-in-law, Dianne McAuley of Ellerbe;and nieces and nephews, Greg McAuley, Dana Lindsay (Michael), Hope McAuley, Adam McAuley, Tommy Mitchell (Aprille), and Brian Mitchell of Rockingham. A service to celebrate Dell’s life will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Rourk Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Stone and Rev. Dwight Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the Mitchell Home.
