Jerry Lee Beaver

Jerry Lee Beaver, 76, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at his home. Jerry was born March 7, 1937 in Mecklenburg County, a son of the late H.L. and Kathleen Robertson Beaver. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and church treasurer. He served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years and later was the manager of Load Off South. Surviving are his wife, Ledia Brown Beaver of the home; children, Tina McKenzie of Rockingham, Sharon Hustis of Concord, Alan Richardson of Pine Grove, PA, Lori Cauthen of Marshville and Terri Schoenfeld of San Diego, CA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a sister Patricia Russell of Blowing Rock. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Byrd officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
