Sarah Hooks Patrick

Sarah Grace Hooks Patrick, 90, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Mrs. Patrick was born August 4, 1923 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby Meacham Hooks. She was a member of Cameronian Presbyterian Church and had retired from JP Stevens Co. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Patrick; son, Michael and Linda Patrick of Statesville, NC; daughter, Chris and David O’Neal of Mt. Airy, NC; granddaughters, Heather and Jamie Jacobs of Asheville, NC; Ashley and Jared Moser of Mt. Airy, NC; Laura Elliott of Hamlet, NC and six great grandchildren: Will Jacobs, Kylie Jacobs, Reese Jacobs, Nolan Moser, Gabe Elliott and Stephanie Elliott. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Cameronian Presbyterian Church, Rockingham, NC, with Rev. Wyatt Coley officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:30 until 2:45 pm on Saturday at Cameronian Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Cameronian Presbyterian Church, 179 Northam Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
