Flossie Scott Thompson

Flossie Scott Thompson, 90, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet. Mrs. Thompson was born December 13, 1923, in Lumber Bridge, NC to the late Joseph and Lucy Dean Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband Preston Alexander Thompson, a son Thomas Thompson and a daughter, Shirley Thompson. Surviving is a daughter; JoAnn McIntyre of Ellerbe, sons; Clyde Thompson of Cordova, Rex Thompson and Preston C. Thompson both of Rockingham and 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and other times at the home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Al McCormick and Sharon Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at the Dean Memorial Family Cemetery in Ellerbe.
