Harold "Red" Price Shaw

Harold Price “Red” Shaw, 85, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home. Mr. Shaw was born in Stanly County, a son of the late Harry Price and Cora Caudle Shaw. He was a member of Rourk Presbyterian Church and the owner and operator of H.P. Shaw Garage and Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Leroy, Ray and Paul Shaw, Ophelia Shaw Stutts and Edith Shaw McAuley. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Martha Hutchinson Shaw; children, Perry Shaw (Diane), Dennis Shaw (Debbie), Jimmy Shaw (Lisa), and Martha Ann Shaw Rushing (Greg); seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren and thirteen step great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mr. Shaws life will be held at 2 pm Monday at Rourk Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Stone and Rev. Wyatt Coley officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home.
