Eli William Welch

Eli William Welch, 97, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Hamlet House in Hamlet. Mr. Welch was born July 9, 1916 in Chester Co, SC, a son of the late Brady and Rosa Feagin Welch. He had served his country in the US Army during World War II , was a member of Sweet Haven Church and had retired from Aleo Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Couch Welch, a son, William L. “ Billy” Welch and a sister, Clara Carnes. Funeral services will be held at 4pm Sunday in the Chapel of the Mausoleum at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating.
