Amanda Leigh Jarrell

Amanda Leigh “Mandy” Jarrell 35, of 153 McLeod Street Rockingham died Thursday February 13, 2014. Born April 24, 1978 in Richmond County. She was a daughter of Kathy Dean Jarrell and Ricky Jarrell and worked as photography technician at Wal-Mart before health problems forced her to retire. Amanda was an animal lover. She is survived by her parents, brothers; Michael Jarrell and wife Benita of Jensen Beach, Fla., Jamie Heaton of Winston-Salem, Butch Heaton of Southern Pines, her sister, Tina McLean of Hamlet, her nephews, Luke, Matthew and Nathaniel, a special friend who was like a second father, Lynn “Doc” Gillette of Memphis, TN and her boyfriend Brian Crook. A service to celebrate Amanda’s life will be held 4:00pm. Monday February 17, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel officiated by Rev. Ricky Jacobs. Visitation will be one hour prior to services and other times at the home of her mother Kathy D. Jarrell 119 N. Long Drive Rockingham.
