On Sunday, April 6, 2014, surrounded by his family, Claude Allen McIntyre, went to be with the Lord. Mr. McIntyre was born March 28, 1948 in Richmond County, a son of the late Henry Lee and Roberta Poe McIntyre. He was had served his country in the US Army, was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church, and had retired as owner of Town and Country Body Shop. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Lee McIntyre, sister, Ada Jane McIntyre Kearns and a nephew Maxton Charles Kearns, III. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Frye McIntyre of the home; daughters, Laura McIntyre Greene (Steven), Amy McIntyre Tadlock (Cary) and Allison McIntyre, all of Rockingham; grandchildren, Savanna Greene, Jonathan Tadlock, Camden Tadlock, and Benjamin Tadlock, all of Rockingham; his beloved friend and sidekick, Scottie; brothers, Ralph McIntyre of Moore County, Frank McIntyre of Norman, Van McIntyre of Mt. Gilead; sisters, Robbie Gibson of Rockingham, Sara Atkins and Edith Atkins, all of Troy and 22 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Blackwell and Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home in Rockingham. Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N.
