William Jason Croke

William Jason Croke, 39, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his home.   Jason was born May 28, 1974 in Richmond County, a son of Glenda Dawkins Rogers and the late William George Croke. He was a firm believer and supporter of the Humane Society.  Jason was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Faye Webb Dawkins.   Surviving are his mother and step-father, Glenda and Steve Rogers of the home and his grandfather, William G. Dawkins of Rockingham.   A service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Kaye Frye officiating.   The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at his grandfather’s home, 805 Sycamore Lane, Rockingham.   In keeping with Jason’ s support of the Humane Society, the family request that memorials be made in his memory to the Richmond County Humane Society,  P.O. Box 2064, Rockingham, NC 28380.
