Betty Jo Martin Ward

    Betty Jo Martin Ward, 74 of Rockingham died Friday April 25, 2014.   Betty was born February 12, 1940 in Conway, SC a daughter of the late Tracy B. and Theora Johnson Martin. She was a retired Registered Nurse. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Martin.   She is survived by her son Tony Ward and his wife Jill of Rockingham, her grandchildren, Makenzie Ward and Macie Ward, her sisters, Vickie Dorman and Shirley Roberts both of Conway, SC.   A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Ellerbe Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. James Watson and Rev. Stanton Layton. Burial will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.   The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 Saturday evening at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.   Those who desire may send memorials to Scotland County Hospice PO Box 1033 Laurinburg, NC 28353.
