Fred Hicks Edwards

Fred Hicks Edwards, 60, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his home. Mr. Edwards was born September 30, 1953 in Richmond County,  a son of Betty Jo Peek Edwards and the late Bernie Cecil Edwards. He was a member of Boyd Lake Road Church of Christ.  He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Bernie Cecil Edwards, Jr. and Jimmy Edwards. Surviving are his son, Joshua Edwards and wife Lorna of Livermore, CA; grandson Logan Edwards of Livermore, CA and his mother, Betty Jo Edwards of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Wesley Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45pm Sunday at the funeral home.
