Thomas Leslie Snead

Thomas Leslie Snead, 55, of 136 Henry Snead Rd. Rockingham, died Sunday , August 3, 2008 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. Mr. Snead was born September 21, 1952 in Richmond County, a son of Alice Melton Snead Richey and the late Henry Daniel Snead. He served his country during the Vietnam War in both the US Army and the US Navy and had previously been employed with the Mount Holly Police Department. Surviving are his mother, Alice Melton Snead Richey of Rockingham, a son, Thomas L. Snead, Jr. of Rockingham, brothers, Danny Snead of Effingham, SC, Jerry Snead of Rockingham and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Stirk officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Henry Snead Rd. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
