Tommy Watts

Mr. John Thomas “Tommy” Watts Jr., 66, of 313 Old Cheraw Highway, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Mr. Watts was born January 21, 1942, in Richmond County, son of the late John T. and Julia Stevens Watts Sr.. He worked as a mechanic with Burlington Industries. Mr. Watts was a faithful member of the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Marshall Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving Mr. Watts are his wife Hollie Williams Watts of the home, son Toby Watts and wife Darlene of Rockingham, daughters and sons-in-law Rhonda and Darrell McDonald, Tonya and Gregg Baldwin all of Rockingham, Tammy and Bubba Kirkley of Hamlet, grandchildren Johnathan, Stephen, and Jacob Watts, Ryan Knight, Heather McDonald, Chase and Jill Baldwin, Heath and Hunter Kirkley, great grandchild Skylar Watts, sister Barbara W. Frye of Rockingham. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Rockingham and at other times at 134 Battley Dairy Rd. Hamlet. The family request memorials in memory of Mr. Watts, be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, Building Fund, 139 Flowers St. Rockingham, NC 28379.
