Margie Stogner English

Margie Stogner English, 82, of 202 Hannah Pickett Ave. Rockingham, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. Mrs. English was born August 16, 1926 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Chappell Stogner. She was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church and had retired from textile manufacturing. Her son, Larry English and her sister Mary Hamilton preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Rev. Lester English of the home, grandchildren, Amy Deese and Steven English, great grandson, Billy Deese and daughter in law, Nancy English. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pee Dee Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller, Rev. Wayne Tuttle and Rev. Heywood Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:30 – 8:30 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Hannah Pickett Ave. Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1015 Fayetteville Rd.
