Mary Smith Holloway

Mary Louise Smith Holloway, 73, of 17095 Holloway Lane, Rockville, VA, formerly of Ellerbe, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Holloway was born February 7, 1935 in Richmond County, NC, a daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Carrie Cleveland Caudle Smith. She was a graduate of Ellerbe High School, Class of 1953 and had retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond after 35 years of service. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Richard Leon Holloway of the home, her son, Richard Lee Holloway and wife Jennifer of Rockville, VA, sisters, Audrey Morgan and Ruth Watson, both of Ellerbe and 3 grandchildren, Mistin Lea Jeminez, Melissa Renee Holloway and Joseph Dean Holloway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Rourk Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
