Hazel Godfrey Burr

Hazel Jane Godfrey Burr, 47 of 119 Leonard Godfrey Road died Sunday in Hospice Haven Rockingham. She was born November 7, 1966 in Richmond Co. , NC a daughter of Peggy McCormick and James Leonard Godfrey, Sr. She was a homemaker and worked with Candor Hosiery. She was preceded in death by her father and her granddaughter Samantha. She is survived by her daughters Crystal Burr and Jeff Locklear , Felisha Honeycutt and husband Jordan and Brandi Cooper all of Ellerbe, a son, Will Richardson, her mother Peggy McCormick Webb of Rockingham, a brother James L. Godfrey, Jr and wife Tammy of Ellerbe, a sister Ruby Richardson also of Ellerbe. Her grandchildren; Bryceson, Miley, Lilly and Riley(Alex) and her nephew James Leonard Godfrey III. Also surviving is her faithful companion Rascal. A service to celebrate Hazels life will be held 2:00pm. Thursday August 21, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe conducted by Rev. June Grant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services and other times at her daughters house 618 Sandy Ridge Church Road, Ellerbe.
