Robert David Erby

Robert David Erby, 60, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Mr. Erby was born March 10, 1954 in Richmond County, a son of the late Samuel Louis and Mildred Skipper Erby. He had retired from LOF Pilkington and was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Bowman Erby. Surviving are his children, David Erby and Robyn Driggers, both of Rockingham; grandchildren, Hannah Erby, Brandon, Geena and Delaney Driggers, all of Rockingham; brother, Samuel Erby, Jr. of Granite Falls and sisters, Nell Green of Tennessee and Brenda Rasberry of High Point. A service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at 3 pm Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the Driggers home, 257 Old Cheraw Hwy., Rockingham.
